"Forget the Witching Hour"

Films: Hour of the Wolf (1968)

Alias: The Bird-Man, the Insects, the Meat-Eaters, the Schoolmaster, the Lady with a Hat

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Jesus Christ, it's like trying to figure out a David Lynch film! Hang in there with us, guys, because this could be more painful to figure out than we expected. That or we're just not trying hard enough.

History: The Hour of the Wolf is said to be the time of night when the most people die and/or are born. For Johan Borg, this is the time of insanity. For he's being haunted by a group of shady figures out to torment him with the ghosts of his past and the mistakes that came with it. And judging by what we’re shown, he's been dealing with this for years.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Either Johan's insanity has reached a hallucinogenic apotheosis, or the spirits just decided to end it right there. After making Johan perform a humiliating display with a vision of his ex, the spirits, led by the Bird Man, beat him bloody and make him disappear.

Powers/Abilities: Shapeshifting and creating intricate visions.

Weakness: None.

Scariness Factor: 3-Presumably, they are extensions of Johan's psyche, so they're not a threat to anyone else. Still, pity anyone who gets stuck with these cretins, because they will do everything they can to drive you absolutely nuts.

Trivia: -The original title for the manuscript was "The Maneaters".

-"Hour of the Wolf" is a radio program named after this film about works of fiction that's been airing since 1972.

Thanks for the clarity, I suppose.
